Open the last tab on the left navigation bar to learn about our new service; request library books from the safety of home. You'll receive an email when your books are ready for take-out.
The "stacks" (all the shelves of library books) are closed. If you need to borrow a book, library staff will guide you step-by-step (on-ground or through a virtual appointment--the safest choice) in how to use our online discovery tool to find exactly the book you need. Then, library staff will retrieve the book for you to borrow. Contact-less procedures will limit risk of exposure when the book is processed for loan.
Course Reserves (textbooks and other readings or DVDs set aside by faculty and loanable only to students enrolled in their courses) will be available to borrow in segments, only 1 student at a time, for in-library use only, and for up to 2 hours. For textbooks, for example, only one chapter at a time may be borrowed. Contact-less procedures will limit risk of exposure.
Magazines, newspapers and scholarly journals are available through the library's 24/7 online resources. Print copies will not be loaned. If a specific article in a print copy is needed, and not available online, library staff will make a single copy of that article for the student. Contact-less procedures will limit risk of exposure.
DVDs may only be borrowed by faculty and only for instructional purposes. The DVD racks are closed; library staff will retrieve needed discs. A minimum of 2-days per request is required. Contact-less procedures will limit risk of exposure when DVDs are processed for loan.

Hotspots: the library has a limited number of hotspots for loan to students who otherwise would not be able to access the Internet. Students requesting a hotspot should send an email to email@example.com OR text 860.200.2821 OR call 860.932.4007 Include your name, Banner ID, and the list of courses in which you are enrolled.
Financial Calculators: students enrolled in certain accounting courses may be able to borrow a financial calculator for the semester. Check with your instructor before contacting the library.
Assistive Technology: The Disability Services office may suggest the use of LiveScribe SmartPens or voice-recorders which may then be borrowed from the Library. Contact Mikaela Kitka for more information.
Headsets: Students may be able to borrow headsets with microphones (supply is limited).
All other equipment loans are closed due to the difficulties of sanitizing technology for short-term loan.
